Lena’s House is a residential program for foster youth ages 12-17 in the Alameda County foster care system.
Our new facility, named Lena's House—which means light, bright, and shining—will offer a sanctuary of hope for the girls living there. Lena's House features 6 beds, 2.5 bathrooms, a community area for group activities and socializing, a spacious backyard, and specialized onsite services.
We will be accepting referrals from placement agencies, community partners as well as self-referrals. The referral form can be found here and can be submitted to lenashouse@rubysplace.org. Additionally, anyone who calls our crisis line 888-339-7233 will be able to go through the screening process during their call.
Our team will provide on-site services, including:
Comprehensive Supportive Services: Personalized care plans, case management, and 24/7 on-site staff support.
Mental Health Care: Access to licensed therapists, individual and group therapy sessions, and trauma-informed care.
Educational and Life Skills Support: Tutoring, career counseling, financial literacy workshops, and independent living preparation.
Health and Wellness Services: Regular medical care, fitness programs, and substance abuse prevention support.
Family Reunification and Support: Mediation, family counseling, and assistance with maintaining healthy family connections.
Community Resource Connections: Access to local community services, transitional housing support, and collaboration with other agencies for holistic care.
